Marr Hints At Possible Moz/Marr Reunion?
Nothing new here. Marr is just sayin' he has no issues, I guess.
Johnny Marr Paves Possible Reunion With Morrissey?
by Post Chronicle Staff, 15 June 2009
Johnny Marr has paved the way for a reunion with Morrissey.
The guitarist – who quit The Smiths in 1987 because of differences with the singer – admits the legendary band are unlikely to reform, but he hasn't ruled out working with the 'First of the Gang to Die' star again.
Asked about the possibility of the duo ever sharing a stage again, Johnny told BANG Showbiz: "I doubt it very much, unless he's interested in guesting with one of the bands I'm in, so I don't think that's going to happen really for some reason.
"Modest Mouse are on a hiatus at the moment but we're a real bunch of super-grown ups and I can play with them any time I like. I probably will be popping up on a few of their records but I'm in The Cribs, they're the band I get in a van with and go on sound checks with and live with at the moment."

Mr. Marr was good in his time, but if he wants to share the stage with Moz again perhaps he should be asking to join Boz and the band rather than suggesting "guesting" by the more successful friend. And though I'd love to see these two Smiths together, the onus to repair the damage belongs to Johnny as he's the one who broke the band and nearly destroyed Morrissey.

I have always thought that the only "reunion" possibility would be a small, Marr-Moz reunion. Acoustic would be superb!

And again...
Johnny Marr Admits He Emails Morrissey
If you believe some reports, the severed Smiths alliance of Morrissey and Johnny Marr ushered in a two-decade-long Cold War, with upper lips being burled in disdain at the very mention of their rival's name. Not so, it would appear.
Former Smiths guitarist and now current Crib (and, err, part-time Modest Mouse) Marr has said he is email contact with Morrissey -- though he still ruled out a reformation of his old band.
"It's not necessarily the case that we're not talking," Marr told the Norwich Evening News. "We have email. We worked on that 'Sound Of The Smiths' [the compilation album released in 2008] together. Who's got time for a feud? Right now I have got screwdrivers inside guitars, my car broke down yesterday... I've got no time for a feud."
Marr also added: "I like The Smiths' songs, but I like playing with two guitars and writing new songs. Unfortunately a reunion would go against both those things."
Marr recently joined the Cribs as a full-time member last year. The band released their fourth album 'Ignore the Ignorant,' featuring songs co-written with Marr, earlier this month.
Apart from writing and touring with US indie rockers Modest Mouse, Marr also found time to take part in Neil Finn's 7 Worlds Collide project, alongside members of Radiohead and Wilco.
