Sounds a little bit like Marr's guitarwork on The Queen Is Dead. It's time he uses it while playing Morrissey's band, instead of all those boring distorted straight-forward rock powerchords

Ya know, when I saw him last July, Boz was barely playing...just strumming along occasionally! I was truly, truly disappointed. Then, I saw him again during the Fall stretch of the tour, he was playing A LOT more, with a lot of different textures.
I really hope there are a couple great hooks in the new songs. That is something that has been lacking in his work lately...

Exactly. That's what the 'National Front Disco''s distinguishes from the 'The Father Who Must Be Killed''s. (I hope you understand what I mean, it's Dutch language literally translated to English.)

I understand EXACTLY what you mean. The hooks are what make the songs memorable. ROTT is a pretty forgettable album for me!

Yes. I almost regret I bought it, I could have bought Viva Hate or something instead.
There are some good songs on it (Life is a Pigsty, On the Streets I Ran), but overall it's very poor.
