San Diego, June 3rd, My first Moz concert
I think i'm a bit flip floppy in this AH WELL
It was fantastic! He's so pretty and sounds wonderful in person.
He kept saying he sounded horrible and he was sorry. Although he sounded wonderful. But the mic did stop working at parts. Was A bummer.
'The worse noise you're hearing is my voice, but let me assure you, when i'm in the bath, it sounds much better'
He was obviously not happy with the sound, and something went wrong I guess during 'How Soon Is Now?' and he left a bit short and he didn't even say 'bye' or 'goodnight'
But maybe his throat hurt. He kept touching it during songs and sorta shook his head sometimes. Or pointed to his ear. Maybet that was the reason for no encore.(deep sadness, esspecially since he had one planned as well as other songs during the show) I hear the crowd booed him because he gave no encore. Phhsss some fans they are. Were all drunk or high anyway. Moz was gone already anyhow.
He played
The Queen Is Dead / First Of The Gang To Die / You Have Killed Me / In The Future When All's Well / Disappointed / Ganglord / Girlfriend In A Coma / Let Me Kiss You / The National Front Disco / That's How People Grow Up / Panic / Irish Blood, English Heart / The Boy With The Thorn In His Side / Everyday Is Like Sunday / I Just Want To See The Boy Happy / I Will See You In Far Off Places / I've Changed My Plea To Guilty / How Soon Is Now?
I have to say the crowd was the most bouncy and loud during Panic, The boy With The Thorn In His Side and How Soon Is Now. Which were amazing, they are all so good live. I have a bit of audio of How Soon Is Now, I may post. He let the crows sing parts of it which is why theres a lack of Moz during it.
Which is sad that people were mostly there for smiths songs...and I have to admit the crowd did suck, lots of Alcohol and pot, and tall people in my way being all drunk.
One of the best parts was when he took his shirt off, which is when everyone screamed. And nearly blocked my view. He didn't throw his shirt anywhere near me so, tough luck.
The only person in his band I reconized was Boz, It was funny when Morrissey called him 'busy Boz'...yeah.
Before Moz came on they had some videos playing, one was a performance of The New York Dolls, and one was a weird thing with James Dean and some other guy modeling.
Moz's backround was James Dean.
I didn't really get good pictures because the lights were so bright and the people were so tall. I was about , no more(probably less I have horrible sense of distance) than 40 ft away from the stage but my camera phone makes it look further back. My dad has a semi okay picture, i'll post that when I get it. And i'll try to fine a video or better pictures on the internet.

The security was really tight so only one guy made it on stage but was soon taken off without touching Moz.
'Nice try' and after the song, 'That was the most exciting thing that's happened'
During Irsih Blood English Heart he changed a lyric. 'When Americans are sick to death of republicans'
everyone laughed.
It wasn't the best concert...and I was a bit dissapointed but I will probably never be that close to Moz and he's a legend. I did enjoy it greatly and am more than happy I went. I know Moz is a perfectionist and is well Moz, so I can't really blame him for leaving early. Pretty much on of the best birthday presents ever.
Hopefully I can see him again sometime.

Thank you for the memories! Now, you Californians get many, MANY more chances to see him perform again. No mic problems...no voice problems...
Pictures are always tough. As soon as I got home from the Wolf Trap performance, I was online hunting down any photos of it I could find. Bits and pieces of the concert are on YouTube, but no pure audio recordings yet.
The band was new to me, too, but Jesse Tobias is a worthy replacement to Alain for the time being. He played the hell out of those songs!!

Re: San Diego, June 3rd, My first Moz concert
They may let my aunt take me
I'll find a way to go no matter what
EDIT: scratch that my grandpa is taking me
Also anyone know who his current drummer is? cos My grandma is actually good friends with Deano but hadn't realised it till recently that he played with Moz. He actully called her one time to sing her happy birthday with some band he was with and it MAY have been Moz.
I need to know cos if she knows the drummer I MIGHT get to meet Mozzer someohow, thanks.
